About the Journal

Interdisciplinary Journal of Islamic Studies is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing innovative and interdisciplinary research on Islam and Muslim societies in diverse global contexts. The journal provides an academic platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to engage in critical dialogue on contemporary issues related to Islamic thought, law, education, culture, economics, politics, technology, and social transformation.

Recognizing the dynamic interaction between Islamic traditions and modern developments, IJIS encourages contributions that bridge classical Islamic scholarship with contemporary approaches from the social sciences, humanities, law, public policy, and other relevant disciplines. The journal welcomes both theoretical and empirical studies that explore Islam's normative teachings, historical experiences, and contemporary manifestations across local, national, and global settings.
