Withdrawal of Manuscript
The submission of a manuscript to International Journal of Engineering and Automation (IJEA) implies that the work has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are generally not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts after the peer review process has begun, as withdrawal results in a significant waste of valuable academic resources, including the time and effort invested by editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
To maintain the integrity and efficiency of the publication process, the following penalties apply for manuscript withdrawal:
1. Withdrawal During Peer Review
If an author insists on withdrawing a manuscript while it is still under peer review, a withdrawal penalty of USD 30 per manuscript will be imposed. The author must submit a formal withdrawal request to the editorial office. Note: It is considered unethical to withdraw a manuscript for the purpose of submitting it to another journal.
2. Withdrawal After Acceptance
If an author withdraws a manuscript after it has been formally accepted for publication, a withdrawal penalty of USD 50 per manuscript will be charged.
3. Payment and Processing
Withdrawal will only be processed after the applicable penalty fee has been paid in full to the Publisher. Instructions for payment will be provided by the editorial office upon receipt of a formal withdrawal request.
4. Non-Payment and Blacklisting
If an author or their institution refuses to pay the imposed withdrawal penalty, the corresponding author and all co-authors (along with their affiliated institutions) will be blacklisted from submitting to IJEA for a period of 5 years. During this period, no new submissions from the blacklisted authors or their institutions will be considered.
